Jocking my Steez with Siz n Scoop

Sizwe Dhlomo is living his life to the full right now, years after winning MTV base’s first ever VJ hunt in Africa. He is a multi-talented entertainer, wearing multiple hats on-screen and behind the scenes on Live, at MTV, at YFM and as a hip-hop DJ.   Hailing from KwaZulu Natal, he has conquered the big city-and then some! Known for his strong work ethic and thorough knowledge of music, especially hip-hop, Sizwe is the epitome of what one can achieve through hard work and dedication. Along with Scoop, he co-hosts Siz n Scoop on Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 12pm, The Full Clip on Thursday nights from 10pm until 12am, and champions hip hop music within South Africa. Sizwe Dhlomo presents the Hot 99 Hip Hop chart every Thursday from 9am-10am and again from 9pm-10pm.

Siyabonga Ngwekazi aka Scoop, is the is the definition of versatility and diversity. As a presenter, actor and radio host, he is a man of impeccable style and taste. Born in Port Elizabeth ,“Mbombo” as his home province calls him, was interested in the arts and in entertainment from a young age. However, growing up in a small town, the dream was too far, or so it seemed. Instead,he devoted his energy to education and sports, becoming the first black Head Boy for his primary school. As for sports, basketball was the sport of choice and as short as he was, even there he excelled, representing his country at age16 all the way up to national level. Little did he know that he would grow up to spearhead a generation with his energy, passion, style and alternative “cuteness”. Fast forward to the present where he is a seen as a taste maker, a connector, interpreter and tour guide to the streets and urban youth culture. These are not just words, they are backed up by the fact that the brand he started in 2007 with his  partner Nkosana Modise, Ama Kip Kip, has enjoyed immense success and scooped up several awards. Siya is now the winner of a GQ style award, a successful TV host, MC, brand ambassador and radio jock. He is co-host of Siz n Scoop on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-12pm and also of The Full Clip on Thursday nights from 10pm until 12am.

In my opinion these two give a voice to Hip-Hop that's arrogant and comes across as snobbish but truth is its relevant gone are the days when being a "Hip-Hop Head" was looked down on matter of fact being a head is the latest STEEZ. Scoop got the hardest of pantsula's wearing AMA KIP KIP, they are not trying to change anybody but inform everybody what it means to be a true "Hip-Hop Head". every time I tune in to them I always seem to think of Oskido and his days of B.O.P when they made that hate track on HIP-HOP culture "asi'mo state" I think at that point in time we were very well aware of the fact that we aint in the "State's" whilst some might have had the ambition to be the, some of us really did not Kat’s like Siz n Scoop are evidence that you can go from the streets of mzansi and be an international brand, asi'mo states Hip-Hop has been franchised and these two are SA's very own ambassador’s. Catch Siz n Scoop every Saturday and Sunday from 9am til noon on Yfm 99.2
